A New Generation

In his 1961 inauguration speech, John F. Kennedy said:

“We dare not forget today that we are the heirs of that first revolution. Let the word go forth from this time and place, to friend and foe alike, that the torch has been passed to a new generation of Americans—born in this century, tempered by war, disciplined by a hard and bitter peace, proud of our ancient heritage—and unwilling to witness or permit the slow undoing of those human rights to which this nation has always been committed, and to which we are committed today at home and around the world.

Let every nation know, whether it wishes us well or ill, that we shall pay any price, bear any burden, meet any hardship, support any friend, oppose any foe to assure the survival and the success of liberty.”

It seems that today, we are the heirs to the next revolution. The torch has been passed to a new generation of Americans. Born in this century, tempered by media, completely un-disciplined through soft and sweet living, embarrassed by our heritage — and completely happy to accelerate the undoing of basic human rights to which this nation has always been committed and to which we are lo longer able to commit to today at home or anywhere else in the world.

Every nation has learned, and many that wish us ill, that we no longer have the interest to pay the price, bear the burden, meet a hardship, support a friend or oppose a foe to assure the survival and success fo liberty.

The Leftist indoctrination of youth creates a weak nation unable to accept responsibility, motivated by fear and self interest and tragically resting on the precipice of tyrannical manipulation.
